Had the Gyro and side of Fries. The Gyro was a bit dry, but the carrots and rice & Potatoes were great. I appreciated the heated bar handrail on a cold evening. Would dine here again for sure

Really great service. The atmosphere and decor are on point, down to the bathroom porcelain. Seems pretty busy and popular for group dinners so make a reservation if you can. I enjoyed the large spanikopita, like a burrito almost but with a flaky outer shell. The salad was okay, could have used more than 1 olive and the tomatoes were getting squishy. Could have done without the rice in taste, the potatoes were alright.

Best experience so far in Fairbanks! We had never been here and got lucky to have Brian as our Amazing server!!! He spaced out our appetizer, salads, entree's and desserts perfectly! We started with the stuffed grape leaves, Yum! I had the special, Steak Oscar and my husband had the Moussaka, both were spot on! I forgot to take pictures of the wonderful salads... Seasoning on the steak was by far the best I've ever had! I substituted rice for the garlic mashed potatoes, All was perfect. We were in there exactly two hours however it didn't feel like it. Not rushed, great atmosphere, amazing food and Thank You Brian for the Best Service 🙏 You made our date night Perfect 💝

First time visiting with my wife. It was a great place for a romantic dinner. One could hear a conversation between you and your guest. Best part no loud music or TV blaring. Greatest was the food. The minute of walking in the door you were greeted by a respectful person and the staff personnel were very friendly.

My wife and I ate there last night. Let me tell you some of the good the bad and the food poison. The night started off well enough. We were looking for a restaurant to eat. It was our first and only night in Fairbanks and for some reason we settled on this establishment. The decore was fine but a little weird but that's not here nor there. The wall with a rug stapled to it was odd. So my wife and I usually order the calamari wherever we go. It's our comfort food. Then she orders the Garlic Prawns and I go with the Gyro. The calamari comes first. Oddly enough it comes topped with big chunks of white onions chopped up on top of it. (not really something you see come topped with calamari) So we shrug it off and try to push forward. The tentacles were passable but the rings were just rubber. Chewy and hard to get down. Then my wife got her salad. Not really much there to complain about as it was a house salad with dressing. Few pieces of bad lettuce but you tell yourself "It's a remote(ish) area" and go about shrugging it off... Thinking that the calamari would be the worst of the night.... Then the entrees come and boy were we wrong. Both of our entrees come with side" potatoes, some kind of candied carrots and rice. I take two bites of my gyro and notice there's no cucumber or feta on my Gyro and a few forks of each side and flag my waitress down. She asks if everything is ok. I brought up there's no feta on the Gyro and she says "that's how it's made" here. Now I don't know how to explain how the texture of what that gyro was other than to compare it to a truck stop microwaved bean burrito. Gyros have a zip of tzatziki with the toughness of the lamb and beef mixture and the crunch of cucumber with the fresh tomato. This was eating a wet soggy pita, tzatziki and microwaved meat. My wife who saw me throw in the towel after two bites of the main course asked me if I wanted to try hers. I bit into one of the shrimp I immediately spit it out. It was tougher than the pre-mentioned calamari. The sugared up carrots and the bland potatoes be damned. The barley warm rice is what caught my tongue. The table runner quickly saw our plates set aside and took them from our table and our pleasant server came and asked us if we wanted deserts. We promptly said no and without our plates in front of us to discuss our completely dissatisfying meal we paid our tab and got out of there. Tipped accordingly for service. Then about an hour out on the town our stomachs started hurting. Funny in recollection I said "I hope I could throw this all up to enjoy the rest of our night" BOY WAS I WRONG. We promptly went back to the hotel and did just that. Except there wasn't the enjoyment of the night. I can explain to you in grave detail but I think you'll catch the drift. It was the rice that did us in but there was nothing pleasant left to throw up. Honest and real review.

Always wanted to try this place since I arrived in town. Everyone talks about their food, so you know your boy needed to get some. Was super excited to get some Greek food and a gyro plate. Welp the tzatziki is really good, the gyro while …

I ordered the broiled halibut with rice, potatoes, and veggies. The halibut was in the dry side. Some bites really required me to drink afterwards. The rice was pretty good with a mild flavor and the potatoes and carrots were by far the …

So, we're here for work and were told Fairbanks is not known for their food scene. Which is pretty apparent. That said, we came across Bobby's on the Google maps and swiped through the menu and decided we'd try that. After visiting another local bar, the Red Fox, great pool scene btw, it was confirmed by their staff that Bobby's was a good choice. Walking in, we were definitely underdressed, as this is a much more intimate style establishment. As we're two dudes working, we went to the bar. This was the first shocker, the bar literally has a hot rail hand warmer running around it. Awesome! Ask for oysters on the half shell and they had them, at roughly 3.5$ each that's a reasonable price for better oysters that Florida mud oysters. Get told the soup of the day was a seafood chowder, I wasn't even going to get soup but this sounded too good to pass up and ordered that too. It was great, I expected more creamy like new England, but the flavors were perfect. Main course, my coworker ordered the broiled halibut, and it was perfect, I ordered the lamb kabobs and I must say this was the very best lamb I've had. I cook a lot of lamb and order it anywhere available and this melted in my mouth. On top of that, Ian the bartender was absolutely fantastic and Bobby the owner made us feel like family. We've got 2-3 weeks here and will absolutely be back to try more of the menu. Excellent job Bobby's!
